This is another old Latin hymn for Christmas. It can be found in Piae Cantiones (published in 1582) but is even older than that! The Latin text dates from the 12th Century, and the melody from a 14th Century Bavarian manuscript.
Interestingly, its text seems to be inspired by an EARLIER hymn to St. Nicholas.
This was very fun to sing because of the repeated syllables in the refrain sections.
