about

“Conditor alme siderum” is an old Advent hymn from the 7th century. We are glad it was preserved so we can still enjoy singing it today!

Here is the url for the simple Youtube video we made for this track: youtu.be/DU2Et_Kkxxg

lyrics

Conditor alme siderum,
aeterna lux credentium,
Christe, redemptor omnium,
exaudi preces supplicum.

Qui condolens interitu,
mortis perire saeculum,
salvasti mundum languidum,
donans reis remedium.

Vergente mundi vespere,
uti sponsus de thalamo,
egressus honestissima,
Virginis matris clausula.

Sit, Christe, rex piisime,
tibi Patrique Gloria,
cum Spiritu Paraclito,
in sempiterna saecula.

Amen.

(We used verses 1, 2, 3 and 6 for our arrangement.)
